On Sunday March 20 a man was killed and a woman was injured in a rollover crash.
According to state police, the accident happened on Interstate 79 near the West Virginia – Pennsylvania state line. Jessy D. Dulany was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo north and was near the 159 mile marker when he tried to pass a car in the right northbound lane of the interstate. Having passed the car when he returned to his lane he clipped the vehicle he was passing and lost control. The Monte Carlo spun several times and then flipped over and over into the southbound lanes of the interstate.
Both Dulany and his passenger, 21 year old Rachel Doty of Waynesburg, PA were ejected. They were both taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital where Dulany died and Doty has critical injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
